Laden with Treasure

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. (Luke 12:21)

To follow up a previous article (Kingdom Treasure), we’ve been striving to do things God’s way (Matthew 6:33) and now have an abundance of kingdom treasure in the spiritual realm for us (Luke 12:32-34). We’ve been sowing and reaping, giving and receiving, while the treasure keeps growing and increasing. Meanwhile, by reading the outcome of the covetous fellow described in the scripture above, we can see that keeping the treasure to ourselves is not being rich toward God. The kingdom of God, as explained in a previous article, The Kingdom Within, is within us, in our heart!
