To Agree With God’s Word Shows Maturity

« Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. » (2 Timothy 2:15 Amplified version)

It would be impossible to be approved of God with tests and trials without first agreeing with His Word. God would not « approve » a teacher who disagrees with Him! But once we agree with His Word and study it, it’s impossible to disagree with those who do the same. Contention and division are defeated to the ground! So after studying, we move from hearer to doer,  » But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception] by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. » (James 1:22). There is power in agreement

« For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. » James 3:16

Confusion is tied up with evil work. A church split is an evil work. It always originates in confusion which itself is birthed in envy, the mother of strife.
