If you have been washed by the blood of Jesus by receiving Him as your Lord and Saviour, I have good news for you!
Jesus still heals today.
You see, at the very moment when we are born again, an actual fusion is produced between us and God. A new creation is born, and all that is marvelous in heaven has now moved into us. Healing is part of this fusion of love.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and always. God does not change (Malachi 3:6).
If there is no more healing today, the gospel will have to stop being called gospel. The word “gospel” means good news: yesterday, today, and forever. A major part of the good news is also a major part of what Jesus has accomplished in his ministry, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went from place to place doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; because God was with Him.” The good news is that God has anointed us to accomplish exactly the same thing (John 14:12-13). In Romans 1:16, Paul declares that he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ and adds, “for it is the power of God for the salvation of all those that believe.” That means this good news of Christ is the power of God for salvation. This is the good news that attracts those that suffer, and it is that which distinguishes us from the world religions, the good news:
Be reassured! Healing is available for every believer today. In Mark 15: 15-20, Jesus sends the believers and even announces that miracles will accompany them for “they will lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover” (v. 18). In other words, Jesus commissioned us with the authority of His name to heal those that suffer.
Psalm 103 affirms that it is Him, God, that forgives all our sins and —at the same moment— heals all our diseases. You see, God has not changed between the era of David and the era of Jesus; from the Old Testament to the New, healing is a constant.
Be encouraged today, thank God for His perfect plan for us who believe. Meditate on His word everywhere that healing is mentioned.
Jesus still heals today! Ask in His name, receive in YOUR name! Reading: 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-6)
